Still Connection Trouble in Clairemont

I've lost connection to the Internet about 10 times in the last
couple of hours. I've also had sporadic connections the last few weeks
with days where I have no problems at all.

I'm not sure if the problem is on my end or with RoadRunner. I
have a LinkSys router and the Motorola Surfboard SB5100. I went to the
Motorola's Signal Strength page and the signals look
the same when I have the connection working and also when the connection
is not working. So maybe it is the LinkSys that is flakey? On the
LinkSys's Status screen it has an IP even if I can't get to the Internet.
If I hit 'DHCP renew' I get the connection back with the same IP. So maybe
the Motorola is working fine and the problem is the LinkSys?

The numbers I see on the Motorola screen is Downstream 38dB
(signal-noise) 3dbM (power level) and Upstream 46 dBmV (power level).

Anyone able to offer a suggestion?

Turn off computer-unplug modem power-connect computer direct to modem-power up modem-when 4 green lights are lit turn on computer-use for a little while.
If your connection is stable over several hours then do this next.
Unplug modem power-turn off computer-unplug router power-connect modem, then router and then computer-power up modem-power up router-power up computer.
If your connection is stable for several hours you have solved your problem with your equipment in the room.
Sometimes your equipment needs a good power up sequence.
Your signal levels look ok.
If your problem persists check under logs in the modem screen and see what it recorded when it lost lock. If its the same thing over and over then call CS and they will take you to the next level to solve your problem.
