I've lost connection to the Internet about 10 times in the last
couple of hours. I've also had sporadic connections the last few weeks
with days where I have no problems at all.
I'm not sure if the problem is on my end or with RoadRunner. I
have a LinkSys router and the Motorola Surfboard SB5100. I went to the
Motorola's Signal Strength page and the signals look
the same when I have the connection working and also when the connection
is not working. So maybe it is the LinkSys that is flakey? On the
LinkSys's Status screen it has an IP even if I can't get to the Internet.
If I hit 'DHCP renew' I get the connection back with the same IP. So maybe
the Motorola is working fine and the problem is the LinkSys?
The numbers I see on the Motorola screen is Downstream 38dB
(signal-noise) 3dbM (power level) and Upstream 46 dBmV (power level).
Anyone able to offer a suggestion?
