66.75.162.196 not working - new direct IP?

I see that I can no longer connect to 66.75.162.196, or 201. Is there a
new direct IP to use or must I use the news-server.san.rr.com to get my
newsgroup fix? Also is there any disadvantage to using news-server vs. a
direct # IP?
