Discussion:
Spamblock NOT working

I've sent almost 10,000 spam emails to the RR spamblock
address over the last 6 months.

What good has it done??

NOT ONE DAMNED THING!

I STILL get spam daily from gaoland.com (a Japanese ISP),
from Interbusiness.it (Italian), and MULTIPLE other places
that ONLY send spam, and nothing BUT spam.

I don't think ANYTHING is done with all the spam sent
to that address, and I'm not going to waste any more
time and effort on it, since RR clearly isn't matching
my effort.

I have sent literally thousands (I last checked in Feb. and since Nov. I
had sent 3,800. I forwarded your comments below along with my own to
the Manager of Security reponsible for the filters and the box that
processes spamblock complaints.

I personally have seen only a marginal decrease in spam by useing
spamblock. Previously, I had some pretty good success with spamcop, but
it tended to run slow many times. I was also suspicious of sending
complaints to foreign countries- would they even seen the email? Could
they even read it?

I have offered local assistance to Security in Herndon if we can help at
all- perhaps verifying that emails to spamblock are being processed
correctly, etc.

One thing I was doing that helped a little, was to copy the email
to spamblock, to any U.S. ISP, so they'd know what was happening.

But that had NO effect on Verizon DSL, and they should be blocked
completely as well as the several other foreign ISPs that clearly
don't take spam complaints seriously.

I would VOLUNTEER to help with that. IF they'd actually do something.

Lets just say I designed and build my first computer in 1975. And have been
working with computers ever since.

I'm sure that is long before you.

Yeah that, and better yet, don't even use RR email.
