Since I found the <***@security.rr.com> address, I've been forwarding
all my spam (with full headers) to RR. In just one week, the volume of spam
has diminished from 100 per day to less than 20. Zero per day is probably an
unobtainable goal, but the level is getting down to a much more tolerable
level.

Good work from the RR security staff!!!

When you forward a spam to the RR spamblock how do you make sure the full
header is shown when using I.E.6?..
Thanks

Hit 'control' and 'F3' at the same time, then 'control' and A to highlight it.

I would forward more spam to 'spamblock' if there was a faster, more
convenient way of doing it.
With Outlook express I have to do File, properties, select, copy, paste,
etc. Too much if you get 100 per day.
Anyone has a macro or some other idea to forward spam (with the required
headers) to 'spamblock' by just pressing one button perhaps?
Thanks.

See my previous post.

I've sent over 2000 spams to spamblock in the last month alone.

I'm using Eudora 5.2 in sponsored mode. To send the full headers to RR:

1. Hit 'blah/blah/blan' icon with mail open; turns on all headers
2. Hit "forward"; type "sp"; Eudora autocompletes to
***@security.rr.com
3. Hit "queue";

The reader is available for free download at: http://www.eudora.com

When you guys talk about forwarding the mail with full headers, do you mean
the full headers are copied and pasted into the body of the forwarded
message?

Precisely.
In my case, using Outlook Express, I do:
- Alt+Enter
- select 'Details' tab
- mark all text with mouse
- control+C (to copy the headers)
- select 'Ok'
- Forward
- type spam... (outlook guesses the rest of ***@security.rr.com)
- tab down to the message body
-control+V (to paste the headers)
-Alt+S (to send the message)

I wish I could do all of the above with one single click.
By reading the previous posts it seems that you may have a shorter procedure
using IE or Eudora instead of Outlook.

I use Outlook (full, not Express).

Start a new message.

Go to the old one, hit 'control f3', hit 'control A'. 'Right-click' and select 'copy'

Go to new message, 'right-click' and select 'paste' (or use your favorite 'paste' shortcut'.

Send to spamblock using the address book or your personal shortcut.

Should take less than 30 seconds.

Thank you. I used your tips to improve my keyboard sequence in Outlook
express.
I am down to a few seconds per message.

- control+F3
- control+A
- control+C
- alt+F4
- control+N
- type "***@..."
- tab to the message body (I don't bother putting a subject in the message)
- control+V
- alt+S

Your post inspired to start sending my spam to RR.

After my hubby and I faithfully sending each and every spam to RR for 3
weeks, I can say that there is no detectable difference in the amount of
spam we are receiving.

And, we're still getting kiddie porn spam with links to functional, active
websites, sometimes with attached photos.

By kiddies, I'm talking about toddlers, not 18-year old girls that look 12.

We have dutifully reported those for months now to the FBI and other places,
to absolutely no avail. The spams keep coming and some of these kiddie porn
sites have been active for months.

One of the sites had their billing hosted by godaddy and I called godaddy
after emailing them and waiting a week to see the billing processor was
still active.

It took godaddy a month to shut down their credit card processing account.

I give up, reporting it is useless, we'll just go back to blocking it or
deleting it.

The spam blocking appears to be a bust for me too.
I submitted for about a week with little difference.
It is very time consuming to submit each one when you
get dozens of them daily. Eudora does a good job with its "junk"
folder filter for the most part and I can delete them pretty quickly.

I think the only hope is something about "registered" email
You simply will not accept any emails from adresses that are not
registered with someone.

Anyone know more about this or when it will happen?

Frustrating to say the least.
Its rather chronic problem now.

Ciphire Mail is one approach. Unfortunately, all your correspondents need to
use it. It is encryption + registration.

www.ciphire.com

I tried it for a while; but I could only get one other correspondent to use
it. They realize that they need to enter into marketing arrangements with
many e-mail providers.

I do, however, think that their approach holds some promise.

Ditto. I got hopeful after reading the same message.
I even downloaded a program from the web that can create macros that you
activate with user-defined keystrokes.
All I have to do is crtl+alt+S and the spam goes to RR. So it takes me less
than a minute to forward 30 spam messages to RR. I've been doing that two
times a day on average.
Yes, I get the automatic response from RR and everything. But after a few
weeks of relentless spam forwarding I can't see any improvement.
