It says it's not available in my area, which is Tierrasanta. =(

But with phone number portability, how can they tell what area you're in just by
your phone number?

In So. Calif - looks like Verizon is doing only their own territories - the
old GTE service areas. I used to live in Camarillo/Ventura County and that's
one of the first here to get Fios (Fiber to the home). Fios has been
decades in the coming - I remember Cerritos trials 10-15 years ago - flopped
due to lack of content. Now, people will do it for Internet speed and, I
guess, movies on demand.

ADSL was also invented for movies-on-demand, and also flopped until the
internet became popular.
