DNS server reconfiguration -- a question for Edwin

Just got an email from Road Runner indicating that I should no longer be
using some old DNS server IP addresses. They want me to get those
addresses "automatically".

The problem is that inside my router, I assign several of my local
network IP addresses statically, so I can't get the DHCP-distributed DNS
addresses to those statically-assigned nodes.

Edwin, do you have any suggestsions? Are there any DNS server addresses
I can count on? Or do I need to secure DNS services from outside the
Road Runner network???

Of course, I could just see what servers are assigned to the DHCP
client, and manually copy those to the static nodes -- but if those
servers are going to have ephemeral addresses, that won't work!

I made this a usenet post instead of an email because there are probably
lots of other folks in the same boat.

Ok, try 66.75.164.90. That should be the "front" IP that doesn't
change. The DNS servers in back of it will come and go, the idea being
that we won't have to keep changing IP's.
